London Calling!!

London Loves!!! Last weekend I had an amazing adventure in London! Such a faboosh city! Def tops my list of fab 5! So to begin my adventure, we had a group of 6 of us going. Well 4 of the girls decided to take the plane to London from a tiny airport an hour away and my friend and I decided to take the train from Paris. Paris is about an hour and a half from Angers where we study. My friend and I immediately left class at noon to catch a train to Paris and then the train from Paris to London. We had only a little time in London until our next train so we had to book our booties! Well I never thought to remind my friend to bring her passport and she forgot it L Well there was nothing left for her to do but take the train all the way back to Angers and fly to London the next day. Well there I was wanting to shizz myself not having expected to go to London by myself! I was absolutely freakin haha! The train ride was pretty dang cool though; we went under the English Channel! After an hour and a half I arrived in London to an absolute adorbs train station with the Olympic rings hanging high! Too cute! I then try to take a taxi, I had never seen such adorbs taxis but oh shizz I totes forgot they drive on the other side of the road so I was def freaking out! When we got to my hostel (which happens to be a pub/hostel) I had totes forgotten to exchange my euros for pounds and the driver only wanted pounds! The hostel owner who totally looked like Russel Brand came out and said in an adorbs Brittish accent “that’s alright love just hop on over to the ATM across the street and I’ll pay him for you now”. Yep that’s right he actually paid the driver for me while I got the money out of the ATM, I was so shocked, in France I would have gotten so much shizz for that! I ended up spending the night in the pub (the girls didn’t arrive until 10pm and I had gotten there at 6pm) hanging with British guys and watching the Olympics. The next day we saw the London Eye (Ferris Wheel), Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey. Oh my gosh everything was too cute and looked right out of the movies! London was crawling with volunteers for the Olympics so we got around wonderfully and the people were so kind and friendly! At Buckingham Palace we were able to watch the Olympic speed walking event, too funny! We didn’t get to see the changing of the guards due to the Olympics though L The Abbey was probably my favorite thing (because of the royal wedding of course!) it was absolutely stunning inside and had more history than I’d seen in my life! It was incredible seeing the tombs of Queen Elizabeth the first and the place where princess Diana was laid to rest. That afternoon we had incredible fish and chips and tried to get into Olympic park. It didn’t really work out haha. London was incredible but the Olympics were quite unorganized, it was incredibly hard to get tix just for the park! We were able to see one of the Olympic runners for Britain who had just won bronze! So fab! He even had his medal around his neck! Afterwards we went shopping at Topshop! I of course had to go there for my bestie Megan! Holly shizz this Topshop was on Oxford Street and was 4 stories big complete with a Dj, hair salon, nail salon, beauty shop and more! It was almost too faboosh, I got lost several times haha! After dinner that night we decided to go to a club, well the club was sort of a bust, so not faboosh! The drinks were uber expensive and when we complained, the owner was sups rude! We decided next time to go to a more local club. Our last day in London we rode the eye! So fab! We were able to see a couple Olympic stadiums from above and the Olympic marathon on the bridge near Big Ben! Afterwards we went to Victoria Park. For the Olympics, London set up multiple viewing parks for people wanting to watch the games. At these parks there are rides, food, beer, giant screen tvs and live bands. Many of the athletes actually visit people at the viewing parks! Victoria Park is the biggest viewing area and is called “London Live”. It was a really neat atmosphere and I got to dress up and wave my British flag! I was British just for the day haha J We were able to watch the marathon live and then had to catch our train L We also had a blast riding the “tube” (London metro) everywhere! So much more clean and easy to navigate than Paris! We had such a faboosh time and felt so welcome! It has def been hard being back in France! London made it so much more obvious how rude the French can be and how unwanted we feel at times! My class is still terrible and the teacher is awful! She actually snapped her fingers in people’s faces when they couldn’t answer a question! We feel humiliated constantly. It’s unfortunate since we had such a faboosh month last month! Oh well I am counting down the days for my bday with Justin in Paris and then home!!! Oh and after London, I am totes calling people love more often, its too cute!! Bisous my loves!  

Paris, Angers, Bordeaux OH MY!

Hey loves!! I know it has been way to friggin long since I last updated! So my aunt and little cousin visited last week and we went to Paris, Angers and Bordeaux! Well to begin with I had the brilliant idea to put my aunt, a 7 year old and myself in a hostel. Well I decided to meet them in Paris at the hostel and oooh man was this hostel jenk! It was off a sketch metro line so I was like shizz where did I take my poor family!? I totes got lost trying to find them and was immediately called a bitch. Once I finally did find them the betch working there was a monster. I politely and fabooshly said in French I have a reservation and she just responds “That’s Nice” then realizes who I am and says in a totally disgusted voice “oh the one with a kid”. Well we ended up sharing a room with some crazy Russian chick that realized we were a family and peaced out of there. Needless to say we got the heck out of there and went to a much more faboosh location, the Marriot of course! The next day we saw the Eiffel Tower, which my cousin loved besides the long ass line, did a boat ride and ate tons of French food. The Louvre was a bit of a disaster with a 7 year old. It’s probably not the best idea for little kids, it was temper tantrum inducing. She adored Luxembourg gardens where we played with mini sailboats in the fountain. I totes had a creepy stalker by the gardens though! He followed me from MacDo (McDonalds) to the gardens and wouldn’t leave me alone, so not fab! We also saw Notre Dame, which my cousin and aunt LOVED! Of course we shopped like mad women on the Champs Elysée. We tried to have a princess breakfast at Ladurée but the inside burned down in a fire last year L. We still went to town on macaroons and went to a fair in front of the Louvre. Of course I visited Spankys! It was not the same without Justin but still fierce! Gay boys in their boxers, bras and fab cocktails! The next day we went to Versailles, still fierce as usual but chock full of cray cray Asian tourists! Next we were off to Angers! Much better pace for my aunt and cousin, I’m pretty sure they were tired of the smelly metro haha. In Angers we shopped (of course!) and went to their botanical garden theme park. Besides the food, my cousin liked Angers quite a bit and my aunt of course loved it. That weekend we went to Bordeaux. Another interesting adventure. We bought tickets last minute and of course it was a train with reserved seats but we did not have reserved seats. We had to sit with Elizabeth on our laps on a cramped train for 2 freakin hours! We learned our lesson on that! As our train was coming into Bordeaux, it legit looked like only farmland, my aunt was beginning to think we would have to ride cows into town. We finally got the train station, which was covered in graffiti and we exited out of the wrong door of the station. We came outside to find large groups of the sketchiest looking French people ever. I was totes freaking out, I thought shizz what did I get my family into again! We finally got a taxi and were driving to the “Golden Triangle” where our hotel was. Well that drive was jenk as heck! All I saw on the streets were turban stores, aftro hair stores and loads of sketch people on the street. I was def nervous for this one. Then all of a sudden we hit the golden triangle and holly molly it was beautiful!! Bordeaux is stunning, so go if you can! That night I tried to eat steak tartar not knowing it was raw, yeah HECK NO! I though I was going to die and my aunt devoured hers! We unfortunately did not get to go on our wine tour L but we toured the stunning city. They have a famous infinity/pool fountain that reflects the palace of Bordeaux and will fill with water and mist. People are actually able to play in them and the pics are incredible. We played a ton in the fountain; it was our favorite part! The wine was amazing! We def got a little tipsy one night haha. We also had the best freaking dinner ever; it was a restaurant with this bomb sauce. It was like a drug, I was addicted! I had a faboosh time with my aunt and cousin. They loved Bordeaux and seemed to enjoy France. This week I’ve had school. I’m placed in the highest level but it is ridunk hard! Because this month is a new term, a lot of people from last month are gone L. I made so many good friends last month and loved my class; this month is just not the same. My teacher is young and intense. She is a little mean when I answer incorrectly and my class has a lot of pretentious and arrogant people. They actually roll their eyes when you answer incorrectly or laugh at you! There is a girl from my school who I didn’t know would be here and she is straight up mean! A total betch! She makes fun of people in class and says mean things about people. It’s def a harder month; it has me a little bummed. The vibe last month was so much fun and everyone was so nice! This month is very different. I’m just going to muddle through! Tonight we had faboosh cocktails on a rooftop overlooking the river and castle! Friday I am off to London!! I can’t wait!! I need a break after this brutal week of class and mean people haha! Well I miss you all tons and will try and post pics soon! My Internet still barely works! BISOUS! J

shopping, French dates, and chocolat oh my!

Bonjour loves! Sorry I only get to post about once a week. My classes here have completely been kicking my butt! Good news I'm one fierce betch and am rockin my grades! Well Well lets see, this weekend I shopped my bootay off and am lookin more and more celeb status. I went to sephora and a fab French woman did my makeup, totes princess Diana status, I finally found a shower curtain which fixed my jenk bathroom issue and got some plush towels. I totes had a me day and bought myself a faboosh cocktail at this adorbs bar that has a wooden terra and got my French on with a couple guys. Oh and the lady at the patisserie was walking around and recognized me! Faaabooosh! I've actually had a life for a few days and went to the bars! I tried a fierce new drink that has quantro, champagne and something else! I met a boy from casablanca and am having coffee with the bartender (she's a nice girl) tomorrow! Today I went to lunch and then on my French date! He's actually French arabic and moved to France by himself when he was 5! He speaks 5 different languages including, farsi, indian, french, english, and something else. He was so funny and a really nice gentlemen and might I add very cute! We spent the day joking about our cultures and walking around Angers. Last night I got to know a bunch of people in my program who are hilarious! They are such sweeties! This week is the last week of my first term! Can't believe a month has gone by, it needs to slow down! Next week my faboosh aunt and little cousin are visiting and we're going to Paris, Angers and Bordeaux! Well I miss you all tons!! Bisous! 

All I see is glitter! :)

Hi Lovies!!! I'm sorry it has been so long since I last posted! My internet has been jenk and barely working! Well since we last talked, I've had a crazy busy time at school with long days from 9-5pm and lots of hw. I'm surviving but it's brutal! This week we went to the bar with a couple French guys we met last week (not the guy I was going on a date with but a different one). They were hilarious and taught us some pretty scandalous French gestures and we taught them some quintessential american gestures and the song red solo cup haha. One of the French guys who was very cute and nice asked me on a date so now I'm just playing the French field ;) We then terrorized a couple bars and partied with a Parisienne. Friday we to a troglodytique town where everyone used to live in caves but it rained like crazy and of course I'm wearing my faboosh shoes and a fierce dress with no umbrella. I totes ended up looking like a not so fabulous wet dog, sooo attractive! Well after our tour of the town, we went on a wine tour at a different area. We learned how wine was made and went to a "wine tasting". It was really fun but a million people were there all fighting for wine at the wine tasting so that was the only downside. After that we went to a troglodytique dinner which was underground and in a cave. It was faboosh!  Everything is made with mushrooms, its was fabooshly delicious.The food was great but sups rich so I had a tuff time on the bus ride attempting to digest all the cream, I pretty much thought I was dying. That night we went to see the fireworks for Bastille. They put on a fierce show with lasers and everything. We did end up soaked but I'm pretending the rain didn't happen and that everything was perf! We then shook our booties off at the bars and shopped like mad women today at the sales! I must say my clothes are getting more and more faboosh, it's okay to be jelly! The only problem I'm having in France is the length of meals! Compared to studying abroad in Paris, every meal here takes a butt heck long time. For lunch at the school we all eat at the cafeteria and every day we start with the appetizer like salad, then we are served the entree then served cheese and bread and finnish with desert, and I mean every day and it takes a while to serve each thing! Lunch is usually 1 and a half hours! I'm not used to sitting for a meal for that long. Even our dinners usually take about 2 hours. There are def some weird people in my class, they are all younger than me too so now I feel like a granny! They talk about frat parties and I'm just sitting there like yeah I'm old balls and am an alumni haha. Well that is all I have for now! I'm trying to upload pics now but of course my internet is being a betch! I will post whenever I can! Love and miss ya! 

Death by croissant?

Bon matin my loves! I'm loving Angers more and more each day! I'm starting to become a fabulous a regular at restaurants here, they even have my orders in the morning ready, celeb status! Although yesterday I was totes parched and only had time to buy my croissant at my petit patisserie but had the brilliant idea to shove my croissant down while walking and of course started choking on it! I looked like a psycho as I desperately reached for my water, not my most faboosh moment. In fact I had a hot mess day yesterday, I have this silk top and that goes underneath my sheer tops, well the silk top underneath can slide down because my bra is silk, well those 2 added together equaled me flashing a bra full to the german girl in class, I know trés classy. I need to keep that in check! I'm absolutely loving the bar scene here, its a lot of fun! We go to this adorbs bar that has 2 euro beer where I have my new friend a faboosh bar tender named Albane, she wants to meet up for coffee. Across the street from the bar is a greek sandwich place where I met a cute French guy that is taking my out on a date. His brother owns the store and is hilarious. He tells me everyday I am the most beautiful girl in France and gives me lollipops (a little weird but hey its free candy! oh and don't worry it's legit, not roofied lollipops!), yesterday he even asked for my autograph, yup I'm on my way to fame! We've met quite a handful of French guys at the bars, some interesting and some that are questionable. I'm pretty sure one guy assaulted poor Christine's face when he did the French greeting. My classes are good, very long though, the other day we went for 7 hours! There's still some usual snots in my class and a chick with a legit piercing through her GUM! Yes I said gum as in your mouth and I totes always state when she talks. We've already gotten to go to the bars with our teaching assistants and lets say the wine was flowing and the dancing ragin! Last night we went on our first excursion and it was to the "Puy du fou" which is this cute light show with a chateau on the water and giant fountains in front. They actually put projections on the chateau and the fountains! They had actors that acted out some of France's history, it was totes weird but also really pretty! Oh and family, France has us beat at the wave! While waiting for the show to start we def did the wave at least 10 times, they ate that shizz up! Also Justin, I committed the worst crime and tried to use the bathroom at tati! And of course they were jenk as usual, I think tati is just universally jenky! I wish you could all be here, the town is too adorbs, I'm pretty sure Belle from beauty and the beast lives here somewhere! Also like the spaz I am I totes left my camera cord, that's why I have a lack of pictures but my Pops is sending me my cord so I can upload them! Well I hope you all have a faboosh day! Bisous! 

fabooshly getting closer to fluency?

Well bonjour my loves! Time for another fabulous update! So yesterday I did some major shopping, totes lost 5 pounds probably! While shopping we saw the funniest weirdest marching band thing I'd ever seen. There were 8 guys and girls wearing weird white capris with gold ribbon marching around with a tuba player and some girl calling out commands on a megaphone. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be some weird funny skit because they would do these weird drills then run around the street kissing random strangers! My 2 friends weren't sure if they should be afraid or if they could stop from laughing, the marching band even terrorized unsuspecting victims shopping at Zara haha. Last night I joined the faboosh Angers bar scene! Really cute bars with american music. There was some flirting with sexay French boys and making some faboosh french friends. Today I had class, the placement is based on 7 levels, 1 being total beginner and 7 totally advanced. I placed as a 5 and am thrilled about it! My teacher is adorbs! It is exhausting though, we have class from 9am until 5pm with an hour break for lunch! We speak in total French or you get marked down. I've never spoken this much French in my life! Not even in Paris! I feel myself getting more and more fabulously closer to being fluent! On another note Happy 4th betchs! I'll be getting my red, white and blue sexay on tonight at the bars! Cathedrals, French men, croissants oh my!

Bonjour my loves! Welp today we had faboosh croissants covered in butter, it was practically sex for your mouth! I had my orientation and found out my program is pretty much the coolest. So they said we do all our work in class so no homework at night and encourage us to experience bar life! They even took us on a walking tour of cool bars and said that our teaching assistants often take you to the bars or parks to drink wine and practice. I can already see myself forming a beautiful wine filled friendship with this program! We also saw a fiercely faboosh cathedral, so stunning and went to the ever amazing H&M where I had to convince myself I already have too many scarves, I really do have a problem, scarves anonymous here I am! We had beer at a cute pub and some seriously jersey shore meets bad haircuts Frenchmen flirted with us, they were so douchey I think my beer curdled! We later had some lunch and dinner on campus, soo much better than Paris dining center. We had cheese, éclairs, chicken and other fun stuff! Welp tomorrow is my placement exam and we will be going to the bars at night, I'm sure I will have some scandalous gossip tomorrow or at least some new leads in club black book! Miss ya! 

Hi guys!! I'm currently in Angers, France and still looking faboosh despite being drooled on by some French arabic guy with supa bad BO! It gave me the rude reminder of the BO problem here which appears to be in full effect! I almost missed my flight to Paris so I pretty much had to run through Chicago like a mad woman, screaming wait for me Pariiis! I did make it though and managed to take care of my 66 pound full of fabulous clothes zebra print bag, I felt proud! I was later personally escorted by a French man that works at Charles De Gaulle to my train and he even wanted to buy my ticket for me! I said no but instead he gave me his number and said he could show me a night out on the town in Paris! I'm getting better than last time, this time it only took 10 minutes of being back in France for a guy to give me his number, guess club black book is back and better than ever! I also am supa lucky I met my friend, it legit took the 2 of us helping each other to get the dang suitcases on the train! DIVA status! Angers is absolutely stunning! It seriously looks like out of a dream or a doll house. The people here are nicer and its more laid back but no one really speaks English haha but thankfully they understand my crazy version of French! Oh and btw I had the MOST amazing grilled cheese sandwich for dinner, it was smothered on top completely with cheese, uuuuh HEAVEN! Welp tomorrow I take a tour of Angers and attempt to find hangers, my faboosh clothes cannot wait another day in a heap! Miss you!
